Artist Spotlight on Aisha Olamide Seriki

Hey everyone,

Today Anne considers the work of the emerging London based photographer, Aisha Olamide Seriki. Aisha was awarded the Frank Bowling Scholarship in 2023 and her project Orí Inú received the RCA’s New Photography Prize and the inaugural JM Finn Graduate Artist Award in the same year. In May 2024, Aisha also picked up the V&A Parasol Foundation Prize for Women in Photography.

Enjoy Anne’s dive into Seriki’s work— the last Artist Spotlight before our August break. We’ll see you on the first Sunday of September for my monthly art review and news of Shade’s forthcoming audio collaborations, launching this autumn.

Have a wonderful summer! Lou x
